It’s Just Like Riding a Bike

On Wednesday we got up early to attend the Accenture Match Play Golf Championship outside of Tucson.  We enjoyed following Sergio, Rory, Furyk, and Dufner.  No cameras were allowed so we only have this photo to share.

Thursday we attempted a progressive happy hour, but stopped after 2 restaurants since the food was so good.  1st stop was Kelly’s, next we stopped at Culinary Dropouts where we devoured soft pretzels dipped in cheese fondue.  We finished off the night at the Old Scottsdale Art Walk.

Today Janie and I rode bikes.  Janie proved that after not riding a bike in several years, “it was just like riding a bike”.  We followed this up with what is now our favorite lunch (so far) at True Food Kitchen in Scottsdale Quarter. This restaurant specializes in food that is the basis for Dr. Andrew Weil’s anti-inflammatory diet.  Figured it was time for something healthy and it turns out the inside out quinoa burger is to die for!!

Tonight is our final night in Scottsdale.  We raise a toast to 2 fabulous weeks with our traveling companions Janie & Al.  Thanks guys for helping get our journey off to an “awesome” (inside joke) start.  We’ll miss you both and look forward to having you join us again somewhere down the road.
